Celebrity Radio DJ Neil Fox is reported to have broken down in tears in court when he was acquitted of a string of sexual assault charges this week.
The radio DJ had denied 10 sexual assault charges dating back to the 1980s against women and girls as young as 14. With a career spanning 20 years, the radio DJ is one of the most famous DJ’s in the UK. Neil has fronted programmes like the National Chart Show and Pop Idol and was more recently an award-winning presenter at Magic FM.
In a speech after his acquittal, Neil Fox said: “Myself, my family and my legal team are obviously pleased and relieved with the decision the court has made. Following my arrest over 14 months ago, I strenuously denied all of the allegations and today I have been vindicated. It has been a long hard and stressful 14 months though. A lot has been said and written about me in that time that over the next few days, weeks and months will need to be addressed and rectified. To my family and especially to my incredible wife Vicky, I cannot begin to tell you how much I love you and how much I thank you for simply being there and holding my hand through this long and arduous journey.”
After being off air for almost a year, it is expected the radio DJ will resume his career as one of UK’s biggest DJs.
