Since appearing on the British television talent show X-Factor, Ghanaian hiplife duo Reggie ‘N’ Bollie have been called all sorts of names by their critics. Some suggested they were a disgrace to the Ghanaian music industry and others said they had been dumped like broken toys after being exploited by Simon Cowell. One can only imagine why such vile name-calling would come from the duo’s own compatriots.
After this bad press, however, the X-Factor 2nd Runners Up have announced they have just signed a record deal with Simon’s record label, Syco Music. The duo made the announcement on social networking platform, instagram. They also formally issued a statement saying: “We are so happy to be joining the Syco Music family and releasing our record with them. It is, literally, a dream come true for us to now do what we love for a living.”
The record deal the duo have clinched with Simon’s company is perhaps enough to silence their critics. Reggie ‘N’ Bollie, who will be releasing their debut album this year, are also scheduled to perform at the 25-Date Nationwide X-Factor Arena Tour which kicks off in the Scottish city, Aberdeen, this February in 2016.
From all indications, Reggie ‘N’ Bollie will not only live their dreams this 2016, but will also join A-List X-Factor Runners Up like Olly Murs, One Direction and Fleur East in mainstream music industry.
