Over time, rapper Kanye West has become synonymous with controversy. The rapper’s union with Kim Kardashian appears to have fuelled an unusual desire for fame, and together the power couple inspire fear in those that dare to come against them.
The couple’s recent twitter war with Shake Off singer Taylor Swift and the rift it has caused on social media is evidence that you cannot come against Kim and Kanye, infamously known as Kimye, and walk away unscathed. For many follower’s on twitter, Instagram and Facebook you are either ‘A Team Taylor’ or ‘A Team Kanye’.
Away from the fame and controversy, however, Kanye has recently declared his desire to work with Scandinavian chain IKEA to produce a new range of furniture.
In an interview with BBC Radio 1, the rapper disclosed: “I have to work with IKEA…make furniture for interior design, for architecture.”
The rapper’s comments on working with IKEA is said to have come after he was spotted visiting the IKEA head office in Almhult, Sweden earlier this year. Kanye may be known for his controversy but there is no denying the fact that many brands would be interested in tapping into his popularity for the purposes of marketing.
